You can use the AAA battery in many Olympus Recorders, including the DS-2500, DS-5000, Olympus DM-720, VP-10, Olympus VP-20, LS-P4, Olympus LS-P5 and the WS-series of recorders (including Olympus WS-853).
NOTE: The BR-404 battery pack replaces the BR-401 battery pack.
